50,000 Palestinian worshipers perform Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions imposed at the gates and entrances of the Old City of Occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The Islamic Endowments Authority reported that 50,000 worshipers performed the prayer today in the holy site.

Israeli police forces set up dozens of roadblocks, conducted extensive searches and checks on Palestinians and their ID cards, and prevented many of them from reaching the holy Islamic site.

Many West Bank worshipers were sent back to their cities and towns after Israeli occupation police forces checked their identity cards at the entrances to the Mosque.

Israeli policemen also arrested five Palestinian young men, from Nablus, while attempting to enter the holy Islamic site at the pretext that they had no permit to enter the holy city.

Earlier today, hundreds of Palestinians managed to perform Dawn (Fajr) prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions on Palestinian access to the site.

Since the early hours of the dawn, Palestinians, including children and women gathered at the gates of Al-Aqsa, confirming the Palestinians’ spiritual links to the holy site.

In Nablus, a large number of people performed Dawn prayer at Naser Mosque.

The worshipers chanted slogans in support of Palestinian resistance and in protest against the Israeli assassination of three Palestinian youths earlier Tuesday.
